Rafael Furcal no pegó ninguno de los 11 hits de los Cardenales en la jornada del domingo, pero realizó 3 brillantes jugadas defensivas.
Evitó hits tanto en la cuarta como en la octvada entrada.
Igualmente, con un disparo puso fuera a Carlos Ruiz en el Home plate.

SS Rafael Furcal didn't have any of the Cardinals' 11 hits, but he turned in three highlight-reel plays on defense, saving hits in both the fourth and eighth innings and throwing out Philadelphia C Carlos Ruiz at the plate in the second inning as Ruiz tried to scored from third on a grounder to deep short. "If you're not hitting, you've got to help the team somewhere," said Furcal, who actually has been hitting. He's at .333 with a .395 on-base percentage. "He's as good as anybody," said manager Mike Matheny, raving about the 34-year-old's glove work.
