SS Jhonny Peralta is one of many Detroit players struggling to hit, as the Tigers sank to four games below .500 Thursday with their third straight loss to Cleveland. Peralta went 0-for-11 in the series and was particularly ineffective with runners on base. Thursday he was up with a man on third and one out in the second and grounded to third to get RF Brennan Boesch, who was running on contact, thrown out at the plate in a 1-1 game. He grounded into an inning-ending double play with two on and one out in the sixth.
