Superó una molestia en la mano.
Sólo necesitó 12 pitcheos, sacó dos outs y logró un ponche.

RHP Jose Valverde pitched for the first time since June 15, working a 1-2-3 eighth inning during Detroit's 7-5 loss at Texas. Valverde hurt his right wrist warming up for a save June 19 and did not resume throwing until the weekend. He only needed 12 pitches to work his inning Tuesday, getting a strikeout on a fastball after getting two flyball outs. He should be able to pitch Wednesday if needed.
