--RHP Jose Valverde collected his 20th save of the season Sunday and is 4-for-4 in that department since the All-Star break. Valverde has been throwing more high two-strike fastballs recently and got a strikeout on a split-finger fastball that was letter-high Sunday. He has given up two runs in eight games covering 7 2/3 innings since the second half of the season began.
