En lo que lleva con Boston, Mauro batea .303, de 76-23.
Desde el 25 de agosto, Gómez tiene de 38-13, para promedio de .342, con 13 remolcadas en 17 juegos.

--1B Mauro Gomez continued to impress the Red Sox at the plate by notching a pinch-hit, two-run single in the seventh inning Monday night in a 5-1 victory over the Rays. Gomez has had a stellar season at every level. He was named MVP of the Class AAA International League, and in the majors, he's batting .303 (23-for-76). Since Aug. 25, Gomez is 13-for-38 (.342) with 13 RBI in 17 games, and he has nine RBI in 12 games in September. "Big pinch-hit by Mauro with two strikes," manager Bobby Valentine said. "He kept battling, fouled off the 1-2 curveball and then got a pitch he could handle and drove in a couple of runs. That was big."
